What I am reading....

So right now i am reading Pride & Prejudice for  the 6th time.

I don't know what it is about this book but it always makes me feel like Jane Austen is writing about my life. I feel like I married Mr. Darcy (Mikes is my Mr. Darcy: Will do anything for me, Quite till you get to know him, Sweet, & Cares about others more then himself.) I also feel like I am Elizabeth, Not only are we around the same age, but I like to think of myself as Intelligent, Lively, Attractive and witty. I enjoy laughing and personally think i am my dads favorite. Austen also uses irony in the structure of the plot, placing her characters in situations that seem to signify one thing and are later revealed to signify something else. Just like in my life things don't always make since right at first but later i realize what the true meaning was.

Guess who is BACK!

After leaving the blogging world for a while (since october..) I have decided to make it a WEEKLY habit of Blogging on BOTH my Family blog & my "Crafty Blog. For some reason i have this new motivation to be crafty but i only share my accomplishments with my hubby (lucky guy) so to give him a break i am going to start this dusty old blog back up again. Posting books ( i have also found my old love of books  now that i have a Kindle Touch.) i have read or would like to read, Project i have done, Recipes i have tried, & Exercise i have attempted..

So here is my word set in Stone Type (i guess). So if you see me... if you get on my Facebook page (personal or Blog) Give me words of encouragement to keep this going.

Fall is in the Air

College Football is Here...
It is so weird that this Rivalry game is being played in September and not in November. I'm use to having the Thanksgiving Hangover and watching this game... and everyone else is in hoodies and sitting in the snow.. this year everyone is in t-shirts and i just have a junk food hangover.

But during half time (after my little man FINALLY fell asleep {he has a stuffy nose, and little cough}) I started looking at all the Yummy Fall foods i am so ready for (i had my husband stop by the store on his way home for working out to get some some Apple Cider.. Yep i'm in the mood for Fall food)

So here are a few of the yummy things i look forward to making for the next few months.
Most are from "Our Best Bites"

Chicken Pot Pie...Our Best Bites
Baked Zucchini Fries... Our Best Bites
We made these the other night and they were SO good. no need for sauce...
that cuts down on the calories too..

Caramel Apple Cider... Our Best Bites
I love Apple Cider
How about some yummy soup when it gets cold(er)
Olive Garden's Zuppa Toscana... What's For Dinner?

What i'm reading

So i put "The Work & The Glory" on hold for a little while so i could read this FABULOUS Book!
The Help by Kathryn Stockett takes place in Jackson Mississippi in 1942. A young girl comes home from college and is looking for a job. She wants to become a writer. She gets in contact with an editor in New York who tells her to write about something that disturbs her. She decides to write a story from the view point of the maids and what it's like working for their families.

I'm not quite done yet... but i LOVE it!
